It's an infestation!

Vampires! I am so SICK of VAMPIRES!

I should explain a little. I have been role playing (RP) online for almost the entire time I've been online, something like 8 or 9 years now. First on MSN Chat, before they decided to be anal money-mongers and charge a monthly fee. I'm not paying just to talk, no thank you.

I then moved over to Yahoo Chats, which was alright, until CNN got wind that there were pedophile chats running unchecked and rampant. They did an online article, and suddenly, Yahoo lost almost all major sponsors and advertisers. Needless to say, this was fixed... by removing the user-rooms all together, leaving only minor social rooms, where furries and RP were less than accepted, to say the least.

I had also discovered Furcadia. For those that don't know, it is a sprite-graphics based online chatting 'game' specifically for furries. SCORE! It is classified as an MMORPG, now that there is that designation, and so is technically the oldest of them, having just turned 11 in December. I've been on it for over 7 years, under a plethora of names.

Anyhoo, I've been RPing on these various chats, and thanks to them, I discovered about furries (yay). The reason, however, that I gravitated to them, at least to start, was because they were NOT vampires. On MSN there were 5 distinct 'classes' that most everyone fell into:
Human
Demon
Werewolf
Vampire
Neko (anime-style catgirl)

Neko's were all just sex-things 99% of the time, and with an equal percentage of horny men behind them (both as the players and... well, you get the picture)

For the rest, it was vampires, vampires, and more vampires. So many damned blood-suckers, I though I was in law school (sorry). It was so formula, so cookie-cutter character making, and just boring. I later learned another, good word to describe these people: EMO! Seems to be a vampire's default setting, when it's not arrogance.

Worst part is, it was the same thing on yahoo. And on Furcadia, the horror was realized to me that the furries were ALSO vampires! I swear, I can't get away from them!

Now, not all those that play a vampire do so poorly. Like any major sub-culture-type, there are those that enjoy it, those that do it well, those that take it WAY too far, and those that just plain suck. Those that suck outnumber the rest 10:1 every time. It swear, though, everywhere I go, there are the vampires. I could be in the middle of a church of sun-worshipers during mid-day, and there would be vampires walking around.

Honestly, I don't see the reason to want to be one of these things. Everyone that is is emo as hell, and wanks ad nausium. And they're so vulnerable! Can't go in sunlight, can't go near garlic, can't be around religious symbols, can't stand those with strong faith, can't eat normal foods. I've seen the legends that state vampires cry blood. I believe that would make most go blind. And if they are turned as a child, they will always be a child. If turned as an elderly, always elderly, which would actually be kind of funny to see. Gradma-dracul, flying around with a walker in hand. A vampire with Alzheimer's "When I was you're age, sonny... I... can't remember, but I think Julius Caeser once said to me... something about jello."

*sighs* I'm done. I'm sorry for that, everyone, but I'm just so sick of these vampires being everywhere! And they're always carbon copies, or don't follow any rule that such a creature would have to. I hope I haven't offended anyone that might be particularly fond of vampires, but these are my opinions, and I'm sticking with them.
