Skiing part 2

The Southern Tyrol is both a historical, geological and geographical wonder. It is currently Italian in status, Austrian in historically and out of time for the present. Looked at all your pictures yesterday, the scenery is breathtaking. Geologically, this was my favourite.

I did some skiing at school and snow-plough is the most efficient way of stopping, it's nice when you learn to skid to a halt super-quickly (especially when you are about to run out of slope on a dry slope)!

Yeh, downhill skiing is very different in the end. Having an metal edge to grip the snow allows for those really neat turns & stops.
