[It would seem only logical that Oz would be used to the blood and the death and the vomit by now, at least on the outside, but he's really not. Perhaps when it comes to himself--just a bit--but not when it's his best friend involved. Not when Gil was once an innocent little servant boy who flailed about when he said one word wrong.]

Gil... [He swallows hard, hesitating for a moment--he considers just letting his friend go back to sleep--but then falters. It'd be careless to ignore something presented to him like this, even if it was an accident.]

[So he'll slip out of his bedroom and head down the small hall, forcing a small smile on his lips. Oh how fake. Despite that, he nudges the door open, forgetting the common courtesy of knocking.]

Hey Gil~ You up?

[Though the light is successfully banished, he does not immediately slip back into sleep. Instead the ceiling is treated to a half-hearted examination as he folds his arms behind his head and stares upwards. The warm summer air is restful, and while the images still visible in front of his mind's eye are not ones he is unfamiliar with, experience says it is better to give them a little time to fade before attempting to dream again - an action that is then even further delayed by a voice from the doorway.]

Oz? [Whatever remnants of sleep still linger are banished quickly as he sits up, swinging around to put his feet on the floor in preparation for immediate standing should it be necessary.] What's the matter?

Oh, so you are awake.

[Oz smiles and laces his hands together awkwardly behind his back, watching his friend with practiced nonchalance and indifference. He says nothing for a moment before deciding to finally walk over to the other, waving a hand dismissively, as if to tell him not to bother getting up.]

Nothing's wrong. [His gaze absently drifts over to the Dreamberry--and he snatches it off the table for a brief moment] ...Say Gil...

[There's nothing amiss that he can immediately see, and at Oz's flapped hand he sinks down a little further onto the mattress, linking his hands between his knees. Oz is here for something, that much seems clear, but until the boy chooses to speak what's on his mind, Gil is frankly at a loss as to what it is.]

Mm?

... Cheshire remembers you. You're back in this place, it seems.

[And thump goes the Dreamberry as it hits the ground, because there's no mistaking either the voice or the face on the screen and he would have been happy to never see it again. Ever.]

......

Hey, where'd you go? Human! Stupid human! Hey. It's rude to leave when someone is talking to you.

[...eventually it's picked up again, though he may just be holding it at an arm's length sob.]

What do you want?
