because it's all about me

Having spoken to them several times today, my interview has now been rescheduled for 3.45pm tomorrow. So, more time to stress about it, but also nearly the whole day to get there. And, it's been almost nice, because I've spoken to one of my interviewers on the phone and she was reassuringly nice and normal (if a little stern). I was having lots of ( Read more... )

Hugs, love. It must be hard to decide whether you should proceed all business as usual, or whether you need to sit and mourn/freak out.

Good luck tomorrow, in any case...

It *is* all about us as individuals in a way: the purpose of such attacks isn't only the immediate horror of destruction and hurt, but also the ongoing effects on the daily routine for each of us. In that sense, we were all targetted to some extent, and arranging to carry on with things like the interviews is part of that bouncing back.

I'm glad that it's sorted out. Good luck!

Exactly -- they will not stop me from doing the things I have to and want to.

Thank you!

For 24 hours only, I'm allowing all Londoners to make it All About Them. (I mean, you bloody do it every other day as well, but for 24 hours, I won't complain. :) )

Glad you're safe. Hope the journey home's not too awful.

In that case, can I whinge about the fact that I wore my Interview Shoes to work today, to try them out, and they gave me blisters when I had to walk home. Grrr.

But thank you. I could walk home from work (45 minutes, when encumbered with silly shoes and ill-timed shopping bags), so wasn't nearly as bad as for many people.

Indeed, it's about 2 and a quarter miles, and took me 45 minutes (slowed down slightly by silly Interview Shoes causing pain). Could have been much much worse.

And thank you! Fingers crossed. This time tomorrow, it'll all be over...

Best of luck with the interview, hope it all goes well. Don't worry about the travel, just allow plenty of time and you'll be fine.

And thank you for texting earlier and then putting my name up as accounted for, that was really sweet and very much appreciated.

Thank you, and you're welcome of course -- I had panics about every five minutes for an hour or so as I kept remembering different London people. xx
