I tried to do Nanowrimo 3 years in a row and failed each time. I just can't write a novel in that short of a time... I am too much of a nitpicker and everything has to be perfect.

Oh, yeah, I am too. But I was beginning to realize just how detrimental that was to my writing. Under any normal circumstances I average two paragraphs a month if I'm going really well. The thing is it is so helpful when I can get out some kind of framework so I can at least see if something that made sense in my head does not work in reality, or get a sense of why that wording doesn't work which might finally give me an idea for what I really want to say. When I write that slowly it takes forever to get through anything, and if something like that happens it takes that much longer before I can even start figuring out how I actually want it to go. And I either need to learn how to keep extensive notes (which I am terrible at, though I'm starting to learn) or I'll end up letting a lot of ideas I can't help thinking are rather good just go to waste. I got to the point where I wasn't okay with that anymore. I had to get that stupid Imp to be quiet so I could work. And now I know how. If my NaNo novel was supposed to be anything readable ( ... )

XD Yay inspiration! As my dear friend Ember once said, I love stirring up Muses. *grins* I know you're gonna rock at it, milady, thou hast a wonderful, crazy, creative energy at times that will serve thee well when the time comes.

I dunno why I sometimes slip into semi-archaic speak. I just like it. *shrug*

XD No problem. I slip in ridiculously formal talk half the time, too. At least you know how to use them crazy, ol'fashioned pronouns correctly!
