ok, my results of the first round:
Welp, Round 1 is in the books. I hit some dead on, I was way off on others. Let's see how I did:
(1) Boston - (8) Montreal: I called Boston in 6 1/2 with a 4 OT game somewhere and 1 game with 60 PIMs. Boston won in 4, all in regulation. Game 1 was the 60 PIM game :) 2.5 points (points are how many games I was off from the actual outcome)
(2) Washington - (7) New York Rangers: I said Caps in 6, They won in 7. 1 point
(3) New Jersey - (6) Carolina: I said Jersey in 5 or Carolina in 7. Carolina broke Brodeur in the last 80 seconds. I'll call it 2 points
(4) Pittsburgh - (5) Philadelphia: Pittsburgh in 6, boom. 0 points
Western Conference
(1) San Jose - (8) Anaheim: I said Sharks in 5, it was Anaheim in 6, boy was I wrong. 4 points
(2) Detroit - (7) Columbus: I said Jackets in 7, turned out I was wrong *cry* 4 points
(3) Vancouver - (6) St. Louis: Luongo surprised me. I said St. Louis in 6, also a sweep by the other team. 5 points
(4) Chicago - (5) Calgary: I said Chicago in 6 or 7, they won in 6. 1/2 point.
4 1/2 points for the East, 13 1/2 points in the west. Boy did I call the west wrong.
2nd round
Eastern Conference:
(1) Boston - (6) Carolina: Boston's way too talented. Boston in 6
(2) Washington - (4) Pittsburgh: oooooh, this is exactly what TV wanted. I see Pittsburgh in 7
Western Conference:
(2) Detroit - (8) Anaheim: After The Ducks steamrolled San Jose, I don't know what to expect. If Detroit plays like they did against Columbus, Detroit in 5.
(3) Vancouver - (4) Chicago: Luongo stay this hot, or will Versteeg and Towes do what Oshie and Tkachuck can't? I'll call Vancouver in 7.
