Lizzy is here!!!

On November 13, we welcomed our daughter, Elizabeth Jane, into our lives!  She was born at 1:26 a.m. and weighed 7 lbs 5 oz.  She was 21 inches long.  God has truly blessed us with this little girl and we feel nothing but love for her.

We went in to the hospital last Sunday and my wife was induced on Monday, with the baby being delivered on Tuesday

Congratulations on the birth of Elizabeth Jane. She looks great and I would guess that she was born at term at that weight and length. One of my daughters was a midwife for many years so I have seen many newborns.

I m happy that the transfusions worked so well for your wife. I'd never had one before I received two units of blood to make me strong before an operation. I still pray for the people who donated to help me. I am sending prayers of thanksgiving for your family.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers! I found each day last week brought new challenges and new prayers. If there's anything I've learned in the last few months it's that God really does answer our prayers. This week was no exception. We were so blessed that every time a new hurdle came up, we got over it, often with much help from our family and the nurses at the hospital.

I hope all is well with you and your family. Remember to count your blessings and give thanks for them, both today and on the day set aside just for such things! Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh congratulations!!! I was crying reading your posting -- she is gorgeous and such a sweetie.

I'm sorry for the trials -- but you two (three!) handled it wonderfully. Oh, I just can't stop smiling. You will be the best father in the world. And you know something? My daughter's middle name is Jane also! And excellent choice.

If it isn't too much to ask, I'd love for you to drop your address to me in an e-mail so I can send along a baby present.

Congratulations, Ryan! Definitely a lot to be thankful for this year! I will check Lizzy's pictures as soon as I can. :) You chose a spectacular name, by the way. ;-)
