Writing, or lack thereof

It's remarkable, the change that occurs when a baby comes into your life.  Priorities change, schedules change...  Oh, all of the old ones are still there, they just don't coincide with what used to be.  What used to be... isn't that an interesting thought, it seems like little Lizzy's been here forever and yet I still recall with perfect clarity ( Read more... )

I appreciate your vote of confidence more than you know! I laughed when I read your suggestion, believe me I already tried to convince her! ;-) Though, from reading her LJ it seems she's got more than enough on her plate. Hmm, speaking of plates, it's getting to be lunch time. Thanks again for your positive vote!

::hangs head:: I know, I know!! If RJ says it looks good, it must be good. I definitely don't have time to beta like I used to, but if it's looking good and just itching to be posted elsewhere, I can skim through it and post it on PS.net.

I shamefully admit that I haven't read it, but if it doesn't need much work, I can post it.

Ryan, I almost gave you what LJ calls a 'nudge' but decided that anyone with a new baby needed some time for family matters. Three month old babies don't hold a candle to the more sociable four to eight month olds. Something new every day! You'll love that stage, social, but not mobile.

Take care of yourself. I'd read any story of yours. It does like like Sugar Quill has come to a full stop, so Phoenix Song would be a better bet.

I know, I know. I've been missing for a while but between Lizzy's acid reflux, crying while eating and getting a cold, it's been all we can do just to maintain our sanity (I'm not kidding!). I finally think we've got back on the right track again so now we just need to shake that feeling of "what's going to happen next?!?".

I'm glad to hear that life is good. :) Yes, having a baby changes priorities for sure. Not that I know from my own experience, but during the summers when I'm with my sister, they are clearly her (and my) top priority and leave very little room for anything else.

Damn, Ryan, what a writer you are! Imagery City with your Phantom musings. :) I miss editing in the same way you miss writing, I'm sure. It was a huge part of my life and while my priorities have shifted and I don't regret my decision to stop, I do miss it. Try to see if you can find someone on PI to pre-beta (though since your mom's edited it, it's probably good) and I'll skim it over and post it on PS.net.

For some reason your comment didn't show up in my email so I only just saw it. I kind of laughed when I reread my post, but I really do miss writing. In talking with my wife today I think we're at least going to find the time for me to finish my editing. It's well past time for me to get back to working on this story! Besides, you've given me new hope for it perhaps getting posted after all :)
