Overall theme: Kirenestus delves too deep into demonic magic gleaned from digs in Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley. He recovers notes and artifacts he and another warlock had been compiling during the Outlands war and had to abandon when Illidan was defeated. Using his old notes, he activates

NOT NOT NOT that I think your idea is bad, but my belief is that in the hands of a good RPer, even the "worst" idea can be made to work. So, in other words, I trust that you can make this work.

That being said, I think this sounds perfectly logical and a continuation of the current plot. I look forward to seeing it playing out!

I did a similar plot with my own warlock a few years back, only yours is waaaaay better and way more well thought out than mine ever was. I agree with what Thistle said about how a good RPer can totally take something that might be edgy and make it work. Assuming the plot and character has flaws (which obviously he does and it does) and it isn't a total LOOK HOW ALL THIS WORKS SO WELL thing or YOU SHOULD STILL ACCEPT MY TOON EVEN THOUGH HE HAS LIKE HORNS NOW OR SOMETHING it's not really a Mary Sue. X3 And the in-game item has given you an in-game mechanic to base your idea off of so you're obviously not pulling this out of your ass. :D
