You're not trying to get the people at the companies to stop having sex, though. Denying the sex drive is a very, very difficult thing for many people to do. I think condoms are a more workable solution than abstinence, especially given the discouraging data about abstinence-only sex education in the U.S. and the cultural pressures that many women in particular face in Africa. I think that encouraging fathers to marry their daughters off at later ages and promoting accurate information about HIV (i.e. that sex with a virgin does NOT help anything) would probably do more to keep teen girls from getting infected than just telling teen girls not to have sex.
