hey! did you ever end up doing the big brother thing? I have a new kid whose goal is "socializing" and I've had some trouble finding organized activities to meet other kids

Things have been super busy since the move. I still intend on doing it, but waiting for things to settle down a bit. We just started going to a new church and I'm still settling in as far as my involvement there goes. I'm hoping I can sign up a little later this summer. Could the organization you're with give you some contact info for other volunteers?

I will -definitely- let you know the moment I'm all signed up for doing the Big Brother thing.

yup I just did that yesterday (volunteer coordinator sent out an email). I've also looked into some other stuff and should be good. :)
I think I'm stopping volunteering with him at the end of the summer when I move to Hamilton for teacher's college. But let me know if you end up doing it before then.
