This weekend we completed our move to the new house. Although there are still many boxes to be unpacked (I still haven't found my shaver yet!) we are already enjoying the extra space, the sunlight (we have windows now!) and the shorter commute to work. Anyone else watching this season of BSG? Looks like it's shaping up to be a pretty amazing (and even darker) season. It also looks like they're serializing things a lot more, I assume because so many people complained of the few lackluster stand-alone episodes that marred an otherwise great season last year ( Read more... )

So it appeared that my cynical thoughts about the clean-up were unfounded - we spent the entire time cleaning up the area around a pond that's next door to our property, not our property itself ( Read more... )

To celebrate Earth Day, this friday my company is getting everybody to go out for an hour and clean up garbage off the premises. I would say that they are just using the day as an excuse to get the property cleaned without having to pay someone to do it, but they're serving free lunch to everyone who helps out and I'm a sucker for free food.
