Supernatural 1.3 - Dead in the Water

Dean hits on every woman is sight. Including the cop’s daughter, in front of the cop.

From Sam’s reaction, Dean never interacts with children. Dean can’t name any kids he knows. Yet, he’s very good with kids.

"Watching one of your parents die isn’t something you just get over." Makes me wonder if Dean actually saw something in ‘83.

"I think I know how you feel. When I was your age I saw something …" He did!

Dean is *really* good with that kid. And he draws about as well as I do.

Water wraith? I want to see one of those.

The kid’s been drawing the Carltons’ house and the ghost’s red bike. How does he know about these? Did the ghost have a chat with him after killing his dad? Is he psychic?

"When I was your age I saw something real bad happen to my mom." This sounds like Dean saw the whole thing, or at least saw her on fire. Judging by Sam’s expression, this is the first time Dean has admitted seeing it.

Kid knows where ghost lived, and I am again wowed by Dean’s ability to connect with kid.

Ghost’s mom quotes Bill Carlton. ”It’s worse than dying.” Coincidence, or did he hear her say that at some point?

"I didn’t understand, didn’t believe. Now I think I do. I think I finally know what you want." Clearly Bill’s had Peter (ghost) on his mind for a while. He must have noticed the pattern in the drownings.

Sam and Dean get busted. Frankly I’m amazed this doesn’t happen more often.

Dean’s worried about Lucas. Sam has never seen Dean get parental before.

And now for some gratuitous nudity.

Now Lucas knows where the bike is buried.

Lucas, knowing a ghost wants to drown him, follows the ghost’s voice to the lake. Some kind of hypnosis (that I don’t think we see again)?

Ghost is gone and Lucas is magically talking again. I would think he’d be even more traumatized after almost drowning.

Death count: 4 men, 1 woman.

Kill count: 0
