I had made a promise to not see it if the rumors about them not including the daemons were true. 'cause that would have been like making a Lord of the Rings movie without a ring or Mount Doom.
I haven't read them yet! I can't see the movie until I read them, but since they're all out, I figure I should just get the trilogy. Apparently the Christians are upset about it though! I have to know why they're so upset!
Welllllll... They don't like the fact that the main characters kill God? but... apparently the author wants to teach children that organized religion is evil & ridiculous? & then they'll tell their parents? or some nonsense... soooo I think that's more the issue.

The Christian anger about it doesn't make any sense. The main thing its based on is the idea that in the book they are killing God.
????
Religion or deity isn't ever even mentioned.
I find it more unfounded than the, "Harry Potter is about devil worshippers!" annoyances.
But I digress,
I've only read the first book, which I LOVED.
I highly recommend it even without the controversy spewing over it, though I can't deny that does bring its appeal up several notches higher.
