Sorry for the long break from this blog. orz I actually went on vacation from mid-June to July so I was away and then rushing to get stuff done for a local art event (MiniComi). So this will be a lot of me blabbing in brief about the most recent events.... Feel free to read if you want? XD
Jul 23 - MINICOMI: I was really surprised by the great turn-out for MiniComi!! It was it's first year and I honestly could not be happier with the art event.
We had a very steady flow of people looking at our works and the chitchat was great fun!! XD Time flew by so fast and our mouths were so dry from talking so much <3 I just hope that next time I could've been more active in seeking out my friends at other tables, but I did do a quick run-around to buy stuff off other artists 8D;
Cosplays during MiniComi were...
In the early hours I was cosplaying Shouma from Mawaru Penguindrum, but later on I suddenly switched to Kanba. XDD A lot of people that came back to our table was so confused when I had a different wig colour ww Thank you for those who noticed or hugged my penguin. XD
Overall, I just had a great time and really would like to see it again next year~~ 8D
Jul 27- FF Distant Worlds
This time Nobuo Uematsu was part of the concert too~~ He didn't come to the last one which was still wonderful, but it's great to see the composer himself in the flesh. XD They played from almost all the numbered FFs this time including XIII & XIV..... Thinking of buying XIV OST already, it sounds so good ;A; But I was so happy when they played "You're Not Alone" from FFIX!! Brings back so many great memories since it was the song I liked most as a child for FF....
The entire thing was fantastic and when it ended, of course we all demanded an encore 8D And got one hoho. But w/o a choir, conductor Arnie Roth decided to let the audience sing. So.......... The whole audience sang to the orchestra playing "One Winged Angel". It was......a brilliant song filled with jumbled Latin XDXDXD Just so fun! Never been requested to sing at a concert before LOL. I'm sure the entire audience LOVED how everything went~
Today - PRIDE PARADE!!
Pride week in Vancouver! Always one hell of a party at Pride Parade~ Since I did more taking pics and admiring people, I'll let the photos do the talking.
