Day 3 - Super Comic City Day 1 AKA DINOHIBA DAY. + Gyakuten Kenji mini-event + Palette Town

Here's part 2, featuring Super Comic City DAY 1, as well as a mini-report on the Joyopolis Gyakuten Kenji (AKA Miles Edgeworth Investigations) "event". :) Oh, and fancy pics of Palette Town.

Super Comic City Day 1

May 3rd - Weather? RAGING RAIN. Omg the downpour had me soaked the first 5 minutes we left the hotel ;;;;

Since it's the first day of Super Comic City and the day I've been waiting for during this trip, we got our ecobags, a suitcase, and a bunch of omiyage ready to hit Tokyo Big Sight. We got a little lost with the train system, but we saw other girls (yes, only girls) with suitcases, so we kind of just followed them to get to Odaiba safely wwww Our motto was "Follow the suitcases". (´u`;; IT WORKED SO WELL.

Big Sight~~~ (Sorry I don't have anymore photos of the event at this point. Super Comic City has a strictly no photos policy. Only the isolated cosplay area is allowed photography)

It was around 8am and the event didn't start till 10am, so we headed to the entrance....THE LINE WAS ALREADY HUGE. D: So many people!! Yet, no clutter at all! Everyone was lined up perfectly in rows.... I wish all large-scale events could have such organization!! Obviously there were pros amongst the group because some had little foldable stools and towels ready for the wait. But yes...two hours in the rain reading the pamphlet and maps over and over to make sure I get to all the circles I needed... I even spreadsheeted the tables I wanted to visit so I was highlighting away on the map XDD; (Highlighter, very useful for these events!)

At 10 am the doors finally opened and we were guided inside groups at a time. Stupid me though, Big Sight has a East and West Wing, and all the circles I needed were on the East side. But I lined up on the West side. orz orz We had to speed walk over to the East Wing....T_T There's 6 Halls in the East Wing so I split up with sis to find our circles. 8D Very important note: BRING COMMUNICATION!! We took our walky talkies there and they were VERY USEFUL. So taking my senpai's advice of only bringing an ecobag with me to shop, I let sis have the suitcase since she had fewer things to see that day (No.6 stuff is the second day).

Hall 5 was the Reborn hall lol but I read the map BACKWARDS and it took longer to find the most popular artist (LION☆PUNCH) I needed to get too.....YET ANOTHER LINE UP. Line ups are everywhere~~ ;3; But Japanese people are so organised, even line ups at the tables are really straight and the last person holds up a sign to indicate the end of the line. TuT Finally got to me and I was all nervous as I bought my first doujinshis at the event. ;u; Then I asked the artist if she was the author (Anzu), and she said yes! So I gave her the gift I prepared and told her I was her fan from Canada www Anzu got all surprised and thought she heard wrong but shook my hand when I told her it was really Canada.... Ahhhh ;u; Meeting her made my day already, but there was so much of it still! Nearby was 24: so I got to give Ninjin a gift too, and she said she liked the maple syrup www (WHY ARE YOU SO CUTE.) She even signed her book for me when I asked, so nice!!

DH Primay Event

The main event for me at SupaComi was the DH Petit Only. I was looking forward to it for 2 months already!!
Here's the guide:

The goal is to basically go to all the participating circles and collect "papers". These papers have the petit only's mark on it and for every 3, you get one chance to draw a prize! They call it "Paper Rally". :)

This is how the papers look like.

The draw starts at 12pm, so I had 1.5 hours to buy a buttload of doujinshi 8D;;;;;; My sore shoulders orz orz I had to walky talky my sis to offload some into the suitcase (YES SHE IS PORTABLE STORAGE), and then go buy MORE books. Two person combi so good for this event!! XD

Here's the prizes you can get from the draw~

So cute! I'd love to have that mug!! But I only got these....

To be honest this is the BEST free swag I've ever gotten. You don't need to buy doujinshi from the table to get the participating circle's paper, so you can run around and collect as many as you want and trade it in for these guys. That notebook~~~♡ The sticker is for Suica cards and it says from Italy to Namimori. XDD

There's also a lot of cosplayers too! But no photos allowed so I didn't get any..... Saw so many cute Dino cosplayers hngh ;w;

After the draw and making sure I got all the doujinshi I could afford for the day we went back to another hall, where one of the key animators of No.6 was sitting and selling some works! The whole point of sis going to SupaComi on day 1 was to meet him. 8D He kindly drew a Nezumi for her.....in my sketchbook. Which was full of BL. orz orz I guess I can proudly say a key animator for No.6 saw my BL sketches.....=v=

So, SupaComi loot?

......
.........This time I REALLY DID cover the bed..............;;;; I even got a DH umbrella..... =v=

Joyopolis Gyakuten Kenji event

Off to Daiba Land for the Gyakuten Kenji mini-event at Joyopolis (Small arcade)!

EDGEWORTH. IN THE FLESH-not really. Took him at his best angle, his hair looked funny if you see it straight on XDXDXD Yes his clothes are fabric *u*

The point of the event is to play as Edgeworth and go around Daiba Land (the mall) to find evidence. You actually search the mall! So you're looking for Gyakuten Kenji machines and talk to characters in the machines to get evidence for your murder case. Call it extra stories?

It's harder than it sounds!! They parked this one in front of the Men's washroom!! orz orz You don't notice it very much until you turn into the washrooms 8D;;; There's extra 3 cases in all but we only had time for one.... (Yes, obviously my sister is the Gyakuten Kenji fan since I've never played the game).

So after hulling all that doujinshi during SupaComi and an investigation, the only way to fill our stomachs would be an all-you-can-eat buffet (*`ω´)=3

(You can tell I look really tired....lol)

Palette Town

3rd destination of the day, Palette Town!! (Not the one in Pokemon)

(Yes, we are still in Odaiba)

Not sure if many people know about this place, but I saw it in a travel book and decided to check it out.
It's like.... a little indoor Italy. :)

Really neat place if you're a North American City girl like me and don't have this kind of stuff around you already 8D;;

Also:

A vending machine for bananas.............. Fruits are expensive in Japan. 130 yen for one banana!! >_<

That's all for this part, don't want to bore you guys too much ><;;
