I really, really hate that NJ learner's permits are pieces of paper. Not something you can put in your wallet, not something easy to keep track of and bring with you anytime you might be driving, but a useless piece of paper. Ugh.

I want to go as Poe, which would be easy enough to pull off because it isn't so radical a costume that work would be like WTF IS YOUR PROBLEM. But finding appropriate items in my size is kind of hard. Bah! Fat girls like velvet coats, too, retailers!

Okay, mostly I want to go as Poe so I can carry around a raven and drop to the floor to listen to the ticking. Maybe I will bring my huge collection of Poe to work tomorrow and set it on my desk and invite people to read some of their favorite passages to get into the ~spirit.
