No, no beard this time. Well, a wife.

Today has been so unbelievably bad. Ordinarily I'd bitch and moan about it, but what's the point? Wah wah, work is boring, I can't keep my mouth shut and I embarrassed myself, wah wah my dad hates me, baww I cried all evening. The. End. So instead, my thoughts on the second part of the epic fail that was David Tennant's last Doctor Who episode ( Read more... )

OMG YOUR ENTRY... I AM SO F-ING EXCITED TO TALK ABOUT THIS EPISODE IT IS RIDICULOUS. But first I have to say that I loved this episode. With all of the silly exposition of part one out of the way, I felt this episode fared a lot better. I was confused with some things -- the Time Lords sitting around the table going "blah blah prophecy, blah blah" -- it was pretty much impossible to follow. And THIS...

-Dear RTD: As a general rule of thumb? Throwing a solid object at a hologram does not send that object through time and space TO the physical manifestation OF the hologram. Timelords are special but not that special. You fail.

SO TRUE. And I couldn't tell if the Time Lords were in the future or the past or if their present is our past but happening parallel to our present... Basically WTF to the whole thing.

What was President Timothy Dalton talking about with the "shamed women" and "the Weeping Angels of old." Did they turn into Weeping Angels? If so, why are there more than 2 Angels in "Blink"?HOLY SHIT I DID NOT EVEN THINK OF THIS ( ... )

Yeah, I would be really unbelievably pissed if they just flat-out never resolve the thing with the Doctor's mother. Not surprised, but still pissed off. My friend and I think maybe due to the fact that RTD's brain is as full of holes as swiss cheese from all that crack and self-adoration, he wrote her into the story and promptly forgot about her. Seems logical to me ( ... )

6. Maybe it's like when you...write a document, put it on a flash drive, and lock the drive. You can only look at that document the way it was when you wrote it. You can't delete the document, put new documents on it, or edit the document. So, the war is a fixed point like that. It's a giant-ass locked flash drive.

Whoa. WHOA. You are blowing my mind here.

7. The shamed women were the only two on the council who voted against advancement. I guess since they're not all HOORAH GALLIFREY GO GO GO they were shamed. Maybe if they had been REALLY naughty, they would've turned to stone right then? Or maybe he was just referring to how they RESEMBLED Weeping Angels, hanging their heads and all, because aren't those things eternal?

Yeah, I knew who they were, I just wasn't sure what their connection to the Angels was. I didn't quite catch what Timothy Dalton was growling; I just heard something about the "shamed ones" and the "Weeping Angels of old" and got confused.

11. I thought it was kinda cute, but wondered what happened to poor ( ... )

I really, really want to hear more about "The Skaro Degradations, the Horde of Travesties, the Nightmare Child, the Could-Have-Been King with his Meanwhiles and Never-weres."

Me too (and I also thought of The Phantom Tollbooth).

I see your point with everything on your "bad" list, but in the end, the things that were done right are the things that are the most important to me, so I persist in being pleased with it overall.

I really, really enjoy your Wilf theory. A lot. That would be so delightful <3 Would that make him Donna's...uncle, though? Hee!

I got the whole thing with the Timelords putting the link in the Master's head -- it's the whole white point star I don't understand. The President took the star off of his staff and threw it at their Earth hologram -- and then it fell to Earth for the Master to find? How?
