Character Relations and Character Insight (OOC)

Like Family
Negi Springfield: This one is a given- Negi is basically like Asuna's little brother. While she claims to dislike him most of the time it is obvious that she would do anything to protect him and anyone who hurts him will have to answer to her. He is the closest thing to family she has in Adstringendum.
Friends
Kotarou Inugami: When she isn't busy wanting to beat him to a pulp for eating the last of the strawberry tarts Asuna views Kotarou as a dependable friend to Negi and therefore someone she can trust.
Alphonse Elric: Al is someone who just emanates kindness and Asuna could sense this from the first moment she met him. He has helped to take care of Negi and for that she is grateful. She enjoys Al's company and likes his quiet nature.

Almost Friends That Are No Longer In The Game
Miles "Tails" Power: Tails was one of the first people individuals Asuna talked to when she arrived in Adstringendum. She still can't get over that he is a talking fox (which she secretly thinks is adorable) but that doesn't stop her from befriending the little fox.
Sha Gojyo: Gojyo is someone who seems to pop up whenever Asuna is feeling upset or frustrated and this is something she appreciates. She gets the feeling that he's a bit of a lecher but that's okay because underneath that he seems like a nice guy- a guy who is always willing to listen.
There have been questions that have come up regarding my Asuna. I have attempted to answer them below. If you have a question, please, do not hesitate to leave a comment with your question.
Character Insight
Q: Is Asuna a 'loli'?
A: No. Yes, I am saying that with a straight face. I joke in the OOC chat about her being a 'loli' and she does have some questionable moments in the manga and the anime but no. Asuna is not pre-pubescent, she is not flat-chested, and older males in her canon are not attracted to her. She is attracted to older males but that's the extent of it. Additionally, I know there is fan service in the canon (I'm not blind) however I like to play her more as she was toward the end of the first anime series.
Q: Would Asuna try and dig into my character's past?
A: Probably not. She would ask what was wrong if your character seemed upset but unless she is very close to your character she will leave well enough alone. She knows that everyone has things in their past they don't want to talk about and she won't push the issue.
Q: Can I protect/save/help Asuna?
A: If you try to protect her or save her be prepared for some annoyed behavior. She's grateful but she HATES depending on others or being seen as weak. She is only now remembering her family and so she spent most of her childhood as an orphan who had to fight for everything with no real idea who she really was. BUT- that's not to say she doesn't need saving.
If you want to help her, though, she'll probably welcome it when needed.
Q: Okay, so what's the deal with the older men obsession?
A: Good question! I have no real idea. I hypothesize that it has to do with her early life traveling with Nagi's group- all older, handsome men. She had her memory screwed with when Takahata was told to erase her memories of seeing death so he may have also imprinted on her some (he also probably broked her memory up so she doesn't remember her past because erasing memories is NOT an easy thing to do according to Negi).
Q: Can Asuna defend herself?
A: For the most part, yes. She has the natural ability to cancel magic and her harisen is a formidable weapon the way she wields it. Additionally, she has a great deal of brute strength that is enhanced by her Pactio with Negi.
Q: Is Asuna a serious character or just meant to be a joke?
A: Asuna is both. Yes, she does tend to act goofy and is able to break any serious moment without trying but her flake-ish behavior hides a young woman who has come to terms with her own mortality and been to Hell and back. I play up her spazz tendencies because that's her personality most of the time- so long as she isn't left too long to her own devices.
Q: Will Asuna tell my character about her contract with the Devil?
A: At the moment, no.
Q: Can I hug/kiss Asuna?
A: The first will get you a strange look unless you're close friends with Asuna (and even then you still might get a funny look) and the second will probably end with you being smacked unless it's a kiss on a fairly innocent place like her hand. HOWEVER- if she has expressed some interest in you the result might be different. Ask me and I'll tell you if you should run for your life if you try either. xD
Q: Can I insult/pick a fight with Asuna?
A: Sure you can but be prepared to either have a long, drawn-out fight or get your butt handed to you. The one exception to this is if Asuna knows you're a baddie. If this is the case then Asuna will probably avoid getting into a confrontation at all costs- she's not much of one for fighting battles that she has no chance of winning.
Q: Will Asuna get into a cat-fight with my character?
A: Probably not. Asuna is far more likely to make a snide comment and leave. But, if you goad her into it then she will happily engage in a screaming match or a knock-down-drag-out.
