OK...you may want to skip over this if you haven't seen it and don't want to be spoiled. I'll put my commentary under a cut. Plus,
casbah commented on my Urban Glamour blog that we need to discuss it...lol.
I did NOT like the movie. It was way over-hyped and too long. I was squirming in my seat by the time they came back from the Mexico trip...lol. I'm sorry, but Big had WAY too many issues for Carrie to take his behind back and I was so pissed at how he handled the first wedding. I understand Samantha had a good job in LA managing Smith's career, but how was her behind jetting to the East coast every five minutes? I love NYC fashion, but I feel like there was WAY too much advertising in the movie. The whole Jennifer Hudson part? Unnecessary. I wasn't really feeling their 'friendship' or whatever because to me it was like "What the heck did Carrie need an assistant for?". Her homegirls could have helped her unpack her shit--but it was hilarious when Charlotte shit her pants and the Asian guy wearing the pink heels with his suit while he was interviewing for the assistant position...lol. Charlotte's Asian daughter was ADORABLE. And I hated Carrie's new brown hair.
I don't know, maybe I'll change my mind because I didn't like The Devil Wears Prada at first and now I love it. After the movie was over, I just knew I wasn't paying to see and sit through that mess again, but I guess I kinda "have to" since I promised the ladies at work.
