Days filled with talking about identity & internalized colonization, about culturally competent sexual education... are extremely challenging for me, especially around figuring out what role I play in being an ally, in being an indigenous person, in acknowledging my own deep lying pain, my frustration with persons who are priveleged and ignorant,

oh man. family stuff. i just found out that the reason my uncle was beaten to death was that he sexualy assulted his girlfriends kid, and everyone in my family knew who killed him.

...and thats why my mom doesnt talk to that side of the family.... among other reasons. so many secrets! causing so much insomnia!
