This is one of those stories that makes me point and say "I wanna write that way." Not because of flowery prose or awesomely constructed, but because of how simply heartbreaking it is. This is Janet hurting and angry, a doctor and a friend. The way Teand deals with such a real issue in such an understated way is perfect, I could see the show dealing with it the same way. This is not a happy story, but it's oh so good.
Quote- Janet paused for a moment outside the drawn curtain, took a deep breath and put her doctor face back on. For almost six years now, she'd been watching her friends - her family -- stride out into the Universe and for almost six years now, she'd watched the Universe spit them back in pieces.

thestylus's Janet is sad and lost, but also resolved to do her job. This is just a great look into her thoughts.

It's scratched somewhere, tiredly: "Patient has multiple severe lesions of right middle fusiform gyrus. Impaired facial recognition due to introduction of foreign materials." Something to hang on to. To say: Yes, sir. She has damage to the part of the brain that recognizes faces. You had that much.

I was in the mood for Daria fic last night and this fic made me smile. It's a great little piece of Daria's thoughts and just really works.
Quote- She hasn't felt this kind of concentrated euphoria more than four or five times in her life. In a minute she's going to have to admit to it out loud, and if she's not careful Jane will wake up and notice and she'll never hear the end of it. So she thinks about other things.

These are both great. Hell I think everything Michelle's written is great. Ya'll should just take a few hours and read through everything on her site. The Donna/Amy stuff is especially good.

It's good wholesome Disney slash. I've not read the books, (and seriously doubt that Michelle has either) but this fic fits in perfectly with the characters from the movie. It's yummy fluff.
Quote- Lilly blinks. "Are you saying that you...find me...to be...to be foot popping?"

I love Trek stories that look at outside players, at the lower decks and the people left behind, and this one does a great job. The way thestylus describes Janeway and Gretchen's reaction to her is spot on (at least in my head.)

Rating- NC-17.
This is a great story. Anya is snarky, caring and herself, and it's good. There should be more Anya/Willow stories like this. Heck, there should be more Anya/Willow period.

Another post "Loss" fic. It's Alex in her new life thinking about her old one, it's cold and snowy and just beautiful.
Quote- She ran to forget. Her elbows swung with practiced expertise. There was nothing to think about except the comforting cadence of her feet hitting the ground, the burn in her muscles, and the soreness in her throat. The cold stung, but it reminded her she was alive.
