Brava! As I said before, the narrative voice and style of this piece are marvellous, and I love how it looks forward to the ending. Your Estella is wonderful -- I always found her fascinating and you've really done her justice here -- and all the other characters are beautifully drawn. Jaggers is deliciously infurating, Molly both sympathetic and worrying, and of course Pip and Herbert and charming as ever. Thanks so much for writing this!
The ending is just as satisfying as the opening. And how good to hear of Joe and Biddy again (not to mention "Old Clem"). I love your Pip and Herbert, and I agree with Pip: I think Molly, that now "semi-respectable woman of indeterminate age," will do fine in Bristol. (The image of her drying her henna'd hair in the nursery and entertaining the children -- priceless.)
Estella retains all her dry humor ("Perhaps it was a burglar from out of town"); she still, understandably, has a bit to learn about compassion, but she's well on her way, and it also looks as if Pip might be a little help there. Clara comes into her own nicely, too.
I so thoroughly enjoyed this. You bring the world and the people of Great Expectations completely alive.
Great Expectations has always been my favorite of Dickens' novels, but it's been years since I last read it. You brought these characters back to life for me; I think I must go hunt up a copy and visit them again. Telling the story from Estella's pov was a great choice, and you more than did her justice. This was very well-conceived and well-executed and I'm very happy to have read it.
Great expectations fulfilled -- beautifully done as always. The ending of GE always was the sort to leave you wondering what might happen next, and this answers the question nicely. :) Enjoyed it a lot.

I can definitely sympathize, for what that's worth. :)
