sure, we all love livejournal. myself, i'm a self-professed addict...i've been here (in several forms) since 2001...but can we abstain, for just one day, for a good and noble cause?

SURE WE CAN! read a book, go outside, meditate, do anything other than posting or commenting in your lj. YOU CAN DO IT. and you'll be doing it for a good cause ( Read more... )

heey, thanks for posting this!! a couple other people on my flist were talking about this boycott thing and i was like "whatever" but now i think it's at least a halfway decent reason to go do something ELSE with your life for a day, so i just posted that I'm going to participate in the strike not because i CARE but because I probably would anyway; I've got a full day tomorrow-- and I advised everyone who reads it to go out and do something else with their day too, cuz it's good advice for every day, geez ;)

even though you won't be striking for the main reason, the fact that you won't be coming to lj tomorrow will serve that purpose. so, good for you.

and on the other hand..i'm with you. i need to not be so addicted to lj!

yeah dude, i think just about everyone i know on here could handle a break from lj; there are people on my flist who post up multiple times a day, and i start to wonder if they ever MOVE. like, should i go out to wherever they are and dust them off?? maybe water them a little bit?? i keep on searching for healthy people on here (that's when i found you, heh) but it's hard to do... last time i went out searching i found you and ONE other person, who doesn't seem to update that often. which is good; she has a lot going on outside of lj which is awesome, but a good balance makes it easier to get to know a person ;)
