A note on Alisha and Bonnie

UGH, are you serious?! I mean...I've known about the Bonnie-blaming since it happened (though I still think it's RIDICULOUS) but now people are doing the same to Alisha? The sad part is, I kinda expected it after I saw the XMAS special. My first thought about Nikki's death (beyond sobbing) was that if anyone blamed Alisha, I'd be SO furious! I haven't really done anything with the fandom since then so I had no idea people were actually proving my worst fear.

*heavy sigh*

There are a ton of things these beautiful, complex, flawed characters have done that they actually can be held accountable for to one degree or another (still loving the "she raped me--" in the Misfits Christmas special, honestly) ... why straight-on make shit up? *grumbles*fandom*grumbles*

Did something big happen or just general bitching? Usually I just play in my own sandbox when it comes to fandom, lol. I only venture out from it to read fic and to squee @ simonalisha (which is a generally safe place so far, I think?)

Nothing big, I was just reading around and ran into two fics (one Bonnie, one Alisha) that annoyed me. I think I'll be staying with simonalisha too, it's much safer than the others.

Well with Alisha its Curtis bashing or slut shaming. I'll navigate right out of it. With Bonnie it's perpetual victimization/woman in peril plots. I don't understand that because she's...not.
