First of all, I don't think I can express how happy I am to see these two paired together! I've been thinking about doing it (and now I have to because this inspired me), and I'm soo glad to see someone else thinks its plausible!

I like the time setting you chose, and that, even back then, Renee had all the Gotham vigilantes figured out--I get that feeling from her too.

The witty banter between the two of them as they start to come together near the end is just so ... them.

I loved the scene with the softball game--Barbara being a tease, Renee "stealing looks." Endlessly cute.

I grabbed a prompt in heroines_fest about Barbara finally finding a lover who understands and accepts her for all that she is, and my first thought was Renee would be perfect. But, I promised myself that I'm branching out from writing Renee now and forced myself to pick someone else. Easier said than done :-(
