Summary: The other side did not appeal to her.
Alecto grips Andromeda's elbow tightly, her fist like a vise around her. Her hand was sickly and gaunt, the bones jutting out and her obscene rings did nothing to flatter them.
"Come with me," Alecto says--no--commands her, her teeth no longer white and pretty.
Andromeda tries to jerk out of her grip, but Alecto's hand is like steel. She can see the muscles twitching beneath her thin skin.
"You don't belong here," Alecto tells her urgently, "not with this...muggle." There was a dark, but invisible-like aura around her, making Andromeda's heart beat fervently. Despite the warmth inside her, she felt chilled on the outside.
Andromeda does her best to level a glare at her. "I love him. I still love you. But, I don't love what you've become. One of those...." she can't say the two words. It was almost as bad as saying You-Know-Who's name. As if it were a contagious curse.
"A Death Eater," Alecto says mercilessly, and seeing Andromeda flinch makes her smile cruelly.
"This is rebellion!" Andromeda says almost pleadingly.
Alecto pulls away from her, as if burned, her voice full of conviction as she snarls, "Rebellion? This is something we must do! To remove the stain of these filthy mudbloods! You disgrace!"
Andromeda feels as if someone had taken an axe to her and everything was spilling out. "No...I...."
"Just you wait..." says Alecto, her tone deadly. And with that, she is gone, leaving behind a group of cawing crows, eyeing her carefully.
