From their first meeting, Marian knew that Cosima was without a doubt, sexually inexperienced, or a better word for it, a virgin.
How Cosima had blushed visibly after shaking Marian's hand, muttering the cliché "so nice to meet you". How Cosima stood there awkwardly by her desk as Marian made tea for them to share, clutching her over-sized handbag, looking around her office nervously, hesitating to compliment the New Age paintings hanging on the walls from thirty years ago.
It was actually quite preferable for her to be a virgin, although she was quite sure she was already medically infertile like most of the other clones (she was aware of the exception named Sarah, and possibly Helena, too).
It was amusing, really, Cosima was more like a introverted teenage girl than a woman in her late twenties.
There was so much Marian knew about this woman already, and even more she expected from her. And maybe even a few surprises.
