She’s going to be gone again when I wake up tomorrow, Ruby thought as she left a trail of wet kisses down Belle’s neck. This is not enough. It’ll never be enough.
Moments later, as they both lay sated under the sheets, Ruby turns on her side to face Belle. She takes in the profile of the librarian’s under the moonlight. She scoots closer to her and lays an arm possessively over her abdomen. Mine… for now, she thought.
A few days later, they’re in the stacks of the library, lost in a deep make-out session. Someone’s going to catch us, Belle thought. All worry left her mind as she came, back against the shelves while Ruby held her.
Belle had to break it to her. They couldn’t do this anymore. She wasn’t being fair to Rumple. She decided to stay with him. She had made her decision. “Ruby, I…” she said to the taller woman.
“See you tonight?” Ruby quickly interrupted. She knew what Belle was going to say. She just didn’t want to hear it.
