“It’s getting late, I have to go,” Ruby said as the film credits started to roll on the TV screen.
“No, stay the night, please,” Belle pleaded.
“I don’t have any more clothes. Besides, Granny’s making me open the diner tomorrow.”
“I have an idea. Move in with me.”
“Are you serious?”
“I’m very serious. We’ve been together for over a year now and you’re almost always here.”
Ruby bit her lip and smiled. It’s true what the librarian said. If she wasn’t working at the diner, then she was at Belle’s apartment or anywhere else with her. She even stops by during wolfstime just to check in on her girlfriend.
The thought of living together excited her: lazy Sunday mornings with breakfast in bed, fighting over closet space, late night Netflix marathons, grocery shopping together, and whatever else couples who live together do.
But the thought that excited her the most was that at the end of her shifts at the diner, she would get to go home to Belle, to the apartment where they live in together - her and Belle’s apartment.
“Hello, earth to Ruby. Where’d you go just then,” Belle waved.
“Nowhere. I’m here… thinking how amazing it would be living together,” Ruby replied.
“And…”
“And yes, I want to move in with you.”
Belle tackled Ruby with a hug and kissed her.
Ruby broke the kiss, “Can you help me start packing tomorrow?”
“Of course,” Belle said as she continued to kiss Ruby again.
