"Why not?" Sarah Jane insisted.
"Because, they get everything dirty and they're expensive to maintain, we have to feed him and walk him and everything..."
"I'll clean and feed him and walk him and everything..."
"And we live in a tiny appartment! We can't have a dog in here!" Rose exclaimed, pointing around to their shared home as if to evidence this.
"It won't be a very big dog... come on Rose, please?"
"No!"
"Fine, don't need to be so mean about it" Sarah Jane desisted, crossing her arms.
"I'm not being mean, you're being childish" the blonde replied. "You're supposed to be the adult, not ask things like this, like a kid."
"Ok, tell you what? I'll show you these pictures of the dog, and if you still don't want it, I'll let it go. Deal?"
Rose accepted and took Sarah Jane's phone, starting to look at the pictures of the dog the other woman wanted to acquire.
There's five minutes of silence before Rose speaks again, defeated.
"So how much was it for the really cute puppy?"
