Prompt:
Playing it safeSummary: Margaery just can't wait to become queen.
Margaery had always been bold, ever since she was a child. Some would call it brave rather than bold, while various others would disagree and say it was plain stupidity. But she knew what she wanted and didn't doubt to take it. That wasn't just boldness; in her mind, it was the mark of a true leader. A true queen.
But that position was currently occupied by Cersei Lannister, Queen Regent of Westeros. And taking such a title wasn't like taking away a doll, as Loras used to do to her often when they were little. She had to be smart, and cunning, be cunning about it... so she opted to play it safe and marry Joffrey Baratheon, Cersei's eldest son.
She smiles at Cersei, treats her with all the respect a queen deserves, and pretends to enjoy her company. The blonde thinks she outsmarts her, but Margaery lets her believe that; Cersei likes thinking she's the smartest person in the room. It's one of her weaknesses. Margaery licks her lips in excitement; Cersei wouldn't know what hit her when she found herself taking orders from Queen Margaery Baratheon.
