This Atlantean woman with the tattoos on her face was, like with other languages, fluent in Spanish. Audrey vaguely remembers that geeky Milo guy mentioning something about roots.
Audrey found her to be overly friendly, having helped her scrub her back while bathing yesterday despite her protests, but gave in begrudgingly.
While eating a strange yellow fruit that looked like an overgrown lemon, but that was only mildly sweet, she wondered if this woman's (Kida, she finally remembered) father had been disappointed that he had a daughter instead of a son. Or perhaps, it did not matter to him, unlike her own father.
That maybe the old man was happy with whoever he got, so long as he had a family.
Just at that moment, Kida plops herself down next to Audrey, her breasts coming dangerously close to falling out of the blue fabric thing she wore.
Audrey suddenly felt envious, her cheeks heating, resisting the urge to look down at her own breasts, and what was seriously lacking in that department.
She huffs and turns away, biting into her fruit. But, she could feel the woman smiling at her.
