"Sorry," Jemma said with a pained expression. "I promise this will help."
"I know, it just hurts like bitch."
Jemma, as gently as she could spread the soothing cream out over the angry burn that a stray grenade had called during the last mission.
Aside from a few sharp breaths through gritted teeth Skye didn't complain.
"Okay," Jemma said at last and put away the tube of cream. "Is it feeling any better."
"Yeah, kinda. You know I think there's something that will make it feel much better."
"Oh?"
Skye smiled then darted forward to kiss Jemma on the lips. Jemma, flustered looked around.
"It's just us," Skye assured her. So far they'd kept their romance secret and they intended to keep it that way for now.
After another glance around Jemma pressed her lips to Skye's. Slow and soft they made out, Skye's tongue slid over Jemma's and...
"Oww!"
Jemma jerked back, realising she had just leaned against Skye's burned, cream coated, forearm, "Sorry sorry, I'm so sorry."
"It's okay. I'm sure once it's all healed up you'll think of a way to make it up to me," she waggled her eyebrows, grinning.
Jemma rolled her eyes.
