Sleepover tonight?
Beckett smiled at the words on the screen of her phone.
"What is it?" Castle asked.
She sent off a hell yes! as reply then looked up at him. "Sleepover at Lanie's tonight."
"Another one? Should I be jealous?"
"No," she grinned. "Not yet anyway."
"Will you at least give me details this time?"
"Details?" Beckett leaned in close to whisper in his ear. "About the naughty things she does to me while we're naked on her bed?"
Castle gulped. "Uh. Yeah."
"Too bad," she moved away. "What happens at sleepover..."
"...stays at sleepover," Castle sighed.
On her way over to Lanie's that night Beckett reflected as she often did that she was lucky to have married a guy who accepted that she had no interest in changing her friends-with-benefits arrangement with Lanie. She had found a perfect balance, which given her crazy work life was vital.
Once at Lanie's place they had pizza and watched a chick-flick in their PJs. They had wine and gossiped about the men in their lives and everything else that had nothing to do with work.
As the night went on Lanie noticed Kate fidgeting more and giving her desiring looks.
"Girl you know by now if you want it you just have to ask," Lanie finally said.
"That obvious?"
Lanie grinned and moved to snuggle in closer. "Yeah that obvious." As she kissed her friend on the lips her hand slipped down the front of her PJ bottoms, finding Beckett wet.
