CJ knows what she’s doing.
Despite the champagne haze in her head, she knows exactly what she’s doing. She is standing barefoot in her office, dressed in a slinky evening gown.
Oh, and she’s kissing the Colonial President Laura Roslin.
She doesn’t know exactly why she’s doing this, but she knows this is what she’s doing.
There is no mistaking the lips on hers, the body her arms are wrapped around and the warm hands palming her bare back. No confusion over the empty plastic cups on her desk, the memory of laughter and of the smile thrown her way from just inside her personal space.
CJ hopes this head of state knows why she’s doing this, and when they break apart for a second, she finds her answer in Roslin’s eyes.
Good, she thinks, at least someone knows what game we’re playing.

Being military and having a competitive streak a mile wide, forcing someone to surrender always makes Kara feel on top of the frakking world.
It feels even better when it takes the form of the President of the Twelve Colonies spreading her legs as far as her office chair will allow while Kara’s tongue drives her crazy. When the ever-poised Laura Roslin is arching her back, hair askew and eyes closed, bliss etched across her face.
Gives Kara a better high than making ten Cylon raiders nothing but shards of metal, or leaving Tigh flat-out broke in card games. She knows her President gives in to nothing and no one else, and that knowledge alone near makes Kara’s ego explode.
In fact, all that’s sort of a lie. There is something better than reducing that Presidential façade to moans and sweat-slick skin.
It’s lying on that makeshift bed aboard Colonial One as Laura kisses and caresses every inch of a Kara who’s stripped of clothing, fear and brash pretence.
Now that’s when she’s truly on top of the world. Why?
Because Laura makes Kara feel like she has a right to be there.
