Title: A Twisted Circle
Fandom: House MD
Claim: Cuddy (except Cuddy/Cameron)
Pairing: Cuddy/Julie
Rating: PG
Word Count: 100
Prompt: E is for Elliptical
Author's Note: Julie is Wilson's wife, for those who don't remember her. We've never seen her, I interpreted her. Crossposted at my journal.

“He’s cheating again,” Julie says, a way of explaining her presence on Lisa’s doorstep and her lips against Lisa’s a few seconds later.

For one moment Lisa is caught up in the kiss. But thoughts of the neighbors that could be watching and the moral wrongness of this cause her to pull away.

“I can’t do this, Julie. I can’t be caught up in some twisted circle of cheating between you and Jimmy.”

Julie looks down and bites her lip. “I’m sorry, Lisa.”

And she’s gone just as quickly as she came, leaving Lisa with the smallest feeling of regret.

Title: A Toast To Drinking Alone
Fandom: House MD/The Young and The Restless
Claim: Cuddy (except Cuddy/Cameron)
Pairing: Cuddy/Phyllis
Rating: PG
Word Count: 200
Prompt: L is for Loner
Author's Note: Yeah, I'm insane. I blame this on fresh_tart. It's all her fault. Set after the infarction in the House timeline and after the custody trial for Daniel in Y&R time. Crossposted to my journal.

She sits in the corner of a bar outside Princeton, hidden partially by smoke and bodies of other patrons. She doesn’t want to be seen. She wants to be alone, to wallow in her grief. To stew on the infarction and the way she had ruined Greg’s leg and life.

She is on her third drink when the redhead appears out of the smoke, slipping into a seat at the table next to hers. She doesn’t seem surprised or upset to find someone else in her hiding spot. She just sits down and nurses her drink. She obviously wants to be alone as well.

The haze of smoke makes it difficult to see her, but the agony in the redhead’s eyes is impossible to miss. And she thought she was the one with problems. She finds herself staring at the woman, trying to figure out what could’ve caused her such pain.

The redhead seems to notice her looking (she’s grateful for the smoke that hides the blush on her cheeks) and raises her glass up. “To hiding and drinking alone.” She says, her voice sultry.

She watches the line of the redhead’s throat as she swallows.

To drinking alone indeed.

Title: Smudged Ink
Fandom: House MD/The Young and the Restless
Claim: Cuddy (except Cuddy/Cameron)
Pairing: Cuddy/Phyllis
Rating: PG
Word Count: 150
Prompt: I is for Ink
Author's Note: Follows directly after A Toast To Drinking Alone. Crossposted to my journal.

Cuddy watches as the redhead places her fingers on the edge of her napkin, pushing it to the end of the table before standing up to leave. Their eyes connect for a brief second, something almost like a smile playing across the redhead’s face before she walks away.

Cuddy watches her go, taking in the slow sway of the woman’s hips. Only after she can no longer see her through the smoke does she glance at the napkin. Curiously, she reaches over and picks it up.

Scrawled on the napkin in ink slightly smudged from the perspiration of the redhead’s drink is the message We could be alone together. Hilton Room 216. Phyllis.

“Phyllis,” Cuddy tries the name. It rolls off her tongue and doesn’t hurt the way “Stacy” and “Greg” do.

She runs her finger over the smudged ink, thinking instead of smudged lipstick.

She stands up to leave.
