“He needs you. Almost as much as he needs her. “ she indicated Serenity, before turning her gaze to Mal who was moving crates, shirt abandoned, sweat accentuating his muscular frame. “And you want him more than you should. It’s behind your eyes.”
River tilted her head to an almost impossible angle, breathing so close to her neck that Inara shivered. “Maybe you should act. She likes you.”
