Stacy's response is a disappointment, but the sarcasm, the bitterness - it's what she expected to hear.
"He's just the donor, Stacy, we're not -"
"Fucking? Not in love? Please. You've always wanted him, Lisa. I'll give you bonus points for originality, though, not many women use 'let's have a baby' as a pick up line. Congratulations."
Stacy hangs up and Lisa sighs and tries not to blame herself. Except there's no one else to blame, and she's known from the beginning that Stacy would never understand. And she'd never be able to explain it, anyway - that House is just her donor, that she's known him half her life, that he's someone she trusts.
That he's never been the one she wanted.
