Earth is my element. I am always connected to it. Always in contact with it. I live on it. I could not live life any other way, I could not imagine bending any other way.

She rarely touches her element. She commands it from a distance, its shape, its speed, even its temperature.

Yet when she likes someone, everyone knows, she is not stingy with her hugs and compliments. I have to be going off some self-written script to make even the smallest romantic gesture.

She is truly connected to others, I watch from the outside, and I marvel at her.

N is for narcotic

Title: The Woman Warrior
Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Pairing: Katara/Suki
Claim: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Rating: PG

Clad in green robes with face paint. Carrying gold fans. Able to kick her arrogant brother’s ass. The Kyoshi warriors were everything Katara admired in women: strength, discipline, and femininity.

Katara tried to approach them, but their leader, Suki, told her that they weren’t a good match for her, what with her being a water bender, from a Water Tribe and all. She did say she’d be more than happy to teach her brother though.

Suki had been on Katara's mind ever since then. Katara was kind of happy that Suki was gone when they returned to Kyoshi, and she was just starting to forget the woman who kissed her brother on the cheek and paid little attention to her.

O is for opposite

“What are you doing in Ba Sing Se?” Azula asked.

Katara didn’t answer. She was still surprised that she not only ran into Zuko, but Azula (who had her captured!)

“Fine then, don’t talk,” Azula said. It wasn’t much fun to verbally harass a girl you have chained up. In a quiet voice she said, “Your hair looks prettier. Are you using a new conditioner? And the scenery really brings out your eyes.”

That finally got a reaction out of Katara. “Don’t say things like that.”

Azula smiled. “That’s the difference between us. I’m a princess, you’re a peasant. I was born rich and privileged, you in a hut. I’m a prodigy schooled by the best, you were self-taught. I always get what I want, you never think of what you want.”

“I want you to leave me alone,” Katara snapped.

P is for paltry

“I have to go,” Jin said, tears streaming down her face.

“Why?” Song asked, her face rumpled with confusion. “Where to?”

“Ba Sing Sa,” Jin said (actually it sounded more like “Bah Sink Sa-ay” with all the crying). “My dad’s decided it’s not safe here anymore.”

Song embraced the girl and hugged her tight. “It’ll be okay. After my training is complete I’ll follow you there. We can be together then.”

“R-really?” Jin said as she stopped crying.

Song nodded. “And I better not find you moping when I arrive!”

Q is for quilt

“You know most people wouldn’t think of asking me to help like this,” Toph said, a rare smile on her face.

Katara smiled back, “I’ve done thing since I was a little child. These days I never have to look at what I’m doing.”

“How does this look?” Toph asked holding up her creation. Her knitting turned out rather lopsided.

“It’ll go perfectly in the quilt,” Katara said honestly. After all, even the oddest shaped pieces can fit together well in a quilt.

R is for rind

Title: The Wager

A/N: I’d like to apologize for the horrible smut.

“I’ve never done anything like this before,” June said as she started to undo her top, smiling a bit nervously. “I’m surprised you challenged me to … Ah!”

Azula had decided she didn’t want to wait for the bounty huntress to get undressed, and had started caressing the older woman’s curves and sensitive spots. June’s eyes were wide when she realized that the young princess, only about as old as that girl she tracked for Angry Boy (and his Uncle Lazy), was touching her in ways she had only asked her previous lovers to.

The heat built and built in June until she felt like it would consume her. Afterward she gave the Fire Nation princess a tired lopsided smile. “You win. I’ll track the Avatar for you.”

S is for startle

Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Pairing: Azula/Ty Lee with hints of Azula/Mai
Claim: Avatar: The Last Airbender

Word count: 37

She walked into her best friend’s room only to find her lover’s head between her best friend’s legs. She walked out and slammed the door.
Mai didn’t startle easy, but that scene was enough to do it.

T is for trickle

If Katara had to describe it, it wouldn’t compare to the monsoon she had felt for Haru, or the downpour of emotion for Jet. In fact she didn’t even like the other girl at first. But slowly, little by little, Katara began to see the beauty in the other girl.

The way she used her bending practically. The way she had a crush on her brother but didn’t make a big deal out of it. The way she didn’t let anything get her down.

U is for undulating

Title: The Unsaid Apology
Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Pairing: Azula/Katara
Claim: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Rating: R
Word count: 127

Azula had made a mistake. Katara was mad. The princess didn’t blame the peasant for being mad, but she didn’t want to accept it either.

“Katara,” Azula began to say as she approached the other girl, moving her hand to the other girl’s face. She forced the water bender’s face up to look her in the eye.

“Don’t say it,” Katara said; her eyes full of tears.

Azula looked genuinely concerned for a second, but then she decided on a new strategy. She leaned in and kissed Katara, her arms going around the girl’s slim shoulders and cradling her. Katara didn’t even mount a token protest as the princess made love to her, taking away all of the girl’s anger and hurt and replacing it with pleasure.

V is for votive

Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender

A/N: Azula’s not being out of character, she’s just got a plan. <3

“I’m confused,” Sokka said. “I thought she was the BAD GUY… the WORSE THAN ZUKO bad guy.”

“Yeah,” Aang said. “I know, but she says she’s given up on capturing me. So, I guess, she’s on our side now. She even took an oath.”

“That’s nice,” Sokka said, in a rather deadpan manner. “But that doesn’t really explain why she’s cuddling with my little sister.”

W is for wanton

Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Pairing: June/Katara
Claim: Avatar: The Last Airbender

June had just captured the Water Tribe girl and her brother. With “Angry Boy” she loaded the two onto her Shirshu. She couldn’t help but notice how pretty the girl was.

“I bet she’s wild in bed,” June commented, not giving Zuko eye contact. “Such a rich skin color, with such beautiful eyes.”

“I told you,” Zuko said getting annoyed. They were so close! He didn’t have time for June’s nonsense. “She’s not my girlfriend. Let’s just get going.”

“I’d give my eyetooth for a girl like her,” June mumbled as she climbed back on her beast.

Iroh sighed quietly as the Shirshu bounded back to the abbey.

X is for X-mas

Title: The Lantern Festival
Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Pairing: Ty Lee/Mai
Claim: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Rating: G
Word count: 102
A/N: Avatar doesn’t really have Christian holidays, so I picked a random Chinese holiday which occurs as close to that time of year as I could figure.

Azula was busy taking over Ba Sing Se from the inside, so Ty Lee and Mai decided to enjoy the festival, right around the New Year.

“Look at that Mai!” Ty Lee exclaimed, pointing at a latern.

“What in the world is that?” Mai exclaimed grumpily, she was bored. “It looks like a butterfly-humming bird, only without the humming bird.”

“Yeah,” Ty Lee agreed. “This place is weird. I’ll be happy once we’re gone.”

“You don’t like it here?” Mai asked. “I think it’s nice here because Azula’s busy, and we get time to ourselves.”

Ty Lee smiled and grabbed Mai’s hand.

Y is for yank

It hadn’t taken the Dai Li long to find someone who had seen Zuko and bring them in for questioning by Azula. The agents had found a girl named Jin. Azula smiled, wondering what her dorky brother could’ve been doing with such a cute girl.

“So,” the princess said. “I hear you’ve seen my brother, Zuko.”

“I don’t know anyone named Zuko,” Jin said honestly.

“That’s right, he would use a false alias,” Azula mumbled. “He has a scar over his left eye; it goes out to his ear.”

“Oh, you’re talking about Lee! Heehee, I went on a date with him, and kissed him, but he ran off.”

Azula frowned jealously. Sadly that cute girl was in love with her brother.

Z is for zipper

A/N: I know this one sucks, but I’m tired of doing these short things, and this is the last one, so meh.

Katara took Toph out clothes shopping after they had their beauty treatments. They found a cute little dress shop in the upper ring. Joo Dee had told the girls it was the “hottest fashion shop” in all of Ba Sing Se.

Toph asked Katara to pick out a dress for her to try on. Katara tried asking Toph questions about what kind of a dress she wanted, only to find out Toph didn’t care, at all. Katara picked out a unusual looking green one.

“How do I look?” Toph asked, modeling the strange garment. She noticed something on her back which felt weird. “What’s this thing? The back is weird, I feel kind of exposed.”

“Oh that?” the semi-crazy looking shop keeper said. “That’s the zipper, you have to ‘zip’ it up!”\
