"She's asleep again," Helen told her.

"Not any more."
Donna tried unsuccessfully to lift her head from the pillow.
"He's a he. Trust me."
Helen thought about it. She could move the blond, tell Donna that her friend was gone and keep the ginger-haired woman safe with her.
"Is she... your he?" she asked.
"We're just mates," said Donna.
"She's doesn't act like 'just mates.'"
"Why am I not dead?" asked Donna. "If I remember... Helen, what did that silly berk do?"
