Padme couldn't sleep.
Her handmaidens had done their best to relax her, but they didn't have Eirtae. She had been left behind on Naboo, captured with the rest of the Royal court, by the Nemoidian invaders.
It was easy to blame sleeplessness on the plight of her planet, but the truth was, that without Eirtae's satiny tongue in the jungle between her legs each night, she felt empty. It constituted a dependency. She had to do without something, for the first time in years.
At least she could go replay Sio Bibble's message, and talk to Jar-Jar and that Anakin child.
