Drabbletag 5 - Like Fire And Ice
Fandom: Disney
Pairing: Merida/Elsa
Rating: G

On paper, they’re a disaster, a mismatch. So different in so many fundamental ways that it simply shouldn’t work.
Merida is bold, brash, brazen. Rough and tumble, never confined, most at home in the great outdoors. Always one to speak her mind, to push for her beliefs, her first instinct to fight for what she wants.
Elsa is quiet, withdrawn, relearning her place in the world. Softly spoken and instinctively careful, not delicate but also far from fearless. At once confident and cautious, a contradiction, both cursed but gifted.
They have little in common, at first glance. But there’s a passion within each of them, an adoration for their families and for each other, and their hands fit together like their fingers were made to be entwined, archer calluses and chilled skin.
“Like fire and ice,” Elsa says with a wry smile, the words like an old joke to them now. It coaxes an eye roll from Merida, but it’s affectionate, and her kiss is sweet and familiar and loving.
