I've watched the show but just started the books, but from show to book, I wouldn't mind so much if someone who'd only read the books wrote for me, just as long as they didn't spoil anything super major after book/season 3 (which I would happily ask for in the optional details). It would probably only be a problem (IMO, of course) if someone who read the books really wanted it set in the later books and someone who just watched the show got them. Most exchanges I've participated in, though, had book/tv show combined and, as far as I know, no one ever complained about it.

Personally, I would be fine with that. There are a couple names in the book tag I don't recognize, but I just wouldn't request/offer them.

I'm not requesting ASOIAF/GOT this year, so my opinion doesn't hold as much weight, but I do consider characterization in the books and TV series different enough in a few cases to only like one canon's version of the character (e.g., show Shae and Margaery and book Arya and many of the male characters), and I think there are other people in this camp.

Perhaps 3) do nothing and note we shouldn't use GOT and ASOIAF to fill 2 of 3 minimum offer/request slots would work?

For Suits, since Rachel Zane is the only Rachel Zane on TV right now, I feel that leaving (Suits TV) on the tag Jessica Pearson/Rachel Zane (Suits TV) is redundant.

That's there for a reason. I forget what it is, but I know if I take it off, something bad happens (the pairing pops up somewhere else, probably).

I think that's okay. Has exactly the same pairings, so I think it's all in the same tag (should probably be Scott Pilgrim (All Media Types)).

Sorry, it's probably too late (I didn't have internet during cleanups), but in Pirates of the Caribbean:

Calypso/Anamaria = Anamaria/Tia Dalma
Calypso/Elizabeth Swann = Tia Dalma/Elizabeth Swann

Tia Dalma is Calypso's human form, so these pairings are synonymous.

I had noticed that and assumed that they were separated with intent, as they have very different characterisations. Though I suppose, in the end they're the same person.

Yeah, I have no idea what anyone was thinking! I know I nominated one set, but I ended up not requesting or offering once I saw the final nominations list, and I don't remember what I was thinking...
