Some rambly thoughts on Yokozawa no Baai as a whole... )

I do think that Yokozawa's almost seamless integration into the Kirishima household probably sealed the deal for him. I mean, the guy had only been there for a week and already it was like he had been there his whole life. Yokozawa was practically born for the role of Kirishima's house husband. XD
"I think the juxtaposition of Yokozawa at work with Yokozawa at home would've first intrigued and impressed Kirishima and then quickly endeared him to the guy" Lord knows it's one of the things that endeared him to me! The sheer domesticity that ( ... )

Well Kirishima says he likes taking prideful people down a peg or two and teasing them, so I can see him having noticed Yokozawa at work, interacted with him as editor vs. salesman and butted heads and probably frustrated Yokozawa in the past because of his attitude, and suddenly there's Yokozawa drunk as a skunk crying on his shoulder and he thinks, "Chaaaaance~"
I'm pretty sure 90% of the reason he hung around Yokozawa at first was out of desire to tease him and 10% out of genuine compassion and feeling sympathy ;^;

Kirishima's feelings are just such a mystery! But it does beg the question of how emotionally involved he was with Yokozawa that he went to such lengths to get Yokozawa to bond with Hiyo right from the start. That was fairly early on in their friend/relationship, too. Had he already started falling for Yokozawa by that time? THEY LEAVE SO MANY AWESOME QUESTIONS UNANSWERED. D:

Like, initially it's just fun teasing, and he mostly only drags Yokozawa out to see if he really is as fun to be around as he seems, or if he's actually really dull when he's sober or something. Then after a week or so of dinner and drinks, he decides hey, maybe it's worth it to see how he'd react knowing that Kirishima had a kid--because that's a really important part of his life, and I love that Yokozawa sensed he was hiding something and was annoyed by it, like he felt he had a right to know about the person he was spending all of this time with.
And then the first night with Hiyo was kind of a test run, to see how he'd react, and he performed beautifully and that probably just started Kirishima falling faster from there, wanting to see them interacting more and getting more and more giddy over Yokozawa being close not just with him but with Hiyo and feeling like I THINK THERE IS SOME FEELING ( ... )
