Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't recall making anything...but I've been focused on increasing my Japanese ability (or rather, obtaining certification for what I have already) over the past couple of years, and I did achieve that this year!
Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope...I don't really keep in touch with most of my married friends XD;

Thank goodness, no.

What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
More time to write and scanlate...and since I'm already working myself to the bone juggling fun and work, I doubt this'll happen XD; but who knows!

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting 1-kyuu on the JLPT I think! Granted it was barely passing, and I want to take it again and get a better score, but still!
What was your biggest failure?
Failing to not get completely sucked into scanlating and writing for new series.
Did you suffer illness or injury?
*knock on wood* no!
What was the best thing you bought?
Hmm, maybe my new bed almost a year ago? I love it, and it was definitely the most expensive and useful thing I bought!
Whose behavior merited celebration?
Japan post-quake.
Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
People who capitalized on the tragedies around the world to make names for themselves; 95% of the members of the Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi fandom.
Where did most of your money go?
BL manga and doujinshi lolololololol
What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi and No.6, most definitely. Doing more for these fandoms than I've done for another in years.
What song will always remind you of 2011?

Spent it as I always do: with my family, going around to various parents' and grandparents' houses~

...I'm pretty sure I block all of those from my mind XD;
Did you fall in love in 2011?
My heart was stolen by Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi and No.6. And by Nezumi and Shion in particular. Doofuses.

HAH.
Favourite TV show?
I'll go with No.6, as the SH anime was quite disappointing since they couldn't show any of the porn and that's kind of a big deal to the series.
How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Tights and skinny jeans with oversized shirts and ballet flats!
What kept you sane?
lavenderlilly, without whom I would have cut many a bitch <3
Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
See the above 95% of the SH fandom :P For such by-and-large interesting, intriguing canon, it's got some shallow, petty people in the fandom that make me want to tear my hair out :P
What was the best book you read in 2011?
Definitely Counterpoint and its sequel Crescendo.
What was your greatest musical discovery?
How much I love soundtracks, particularly the SH and No.6 ones <3
What did you want and get?
A new bed! And 1-kyuu XD
What did you want and not get?
An iPhone...but that's my own fault, and while I want one, I can't purchase one for Reasons, mostly involving the fact that it doesn't allow tethering in Japan u.u
What was your favourite film of this year?
Not sure...I don't know that I was particularly moved by anything this year. Perhaps the final Harry Potter film? Definitely felt the ending in it, and that was sad :(
What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Celebrated with my family for the first time in years, as I'm usually in Japan or at school.
What three things would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Being a professional scanlator so that I could scanlate full-time, having more active participants in SH fandom who enjoyed discussion and writing, and not having the Pacific Ocean between me and home :P
Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
...I feel like my love for the guys has waned somewhat this year, mostly because they aren't performing in much that I care that much about, which I really hate :( I LOVE being a huge fan of them, but they've kind of disappointed this year. I'll go with Koseki Yuuta (new Eiji) because he's owning that role and looking good doing it...despite being 10 years my junior :P
What political issue stirred you the most?
DADT repeal--I don't get involved in politics at all, and it didn't affect me personally in the least, but...that made me really proud.
Who did you miss?
My family and friends who aren't in Japan ;~;
Who was the best new person you met?
Now this is just mean :P
What is a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011?
That if I want something to happen, I'll have to make the move myself!
