You know it was a good night when you wake up the next afternoon after sleeping with the windows open and the room still reaks of pot....

Having never had pot, I'll have to take your word for it. Oh, and thanks for the postcard. It was shiny. So shiny that I read it to both my parents. I guess they think you're weird now... but they'd be right, so no harm done.

Oh, I've been doing more looking into this legal assistant thing, which I'll now proceed to tell you about since you gave me such good advice last time...

Option 1: Army JAG Corps will train me to be a legal assistant and pay for my law school... somehow. I talk to the recruiter in person tomorrow.

Option 2: College of Legal Arts in Portland offers a 30 week training program. I wouldn't actually get the AAS degree that I would from a place like Pioneer Pacific or Clark College BUT the guy I talked to claims that their training program would make me marketable in the legal assistant world since I already have a BA.

We have a college of legal arts in portland? I had no idea.....

I'm always skeptical of programs that don't give the actual degree...I'd be concerned. I would stick with clark college - personally. But thats 'cause I've never heard of the other place nor do I think working for 30 weeks and not getting the actual AAS is a good idea.

As for the JAG Corps, I think this is your best idea. Just keep in mind its a really long term committment to the JAG Corps because of the money they are pumping into your graduate work - also some programs only pay a set amount of money for graduate school - not the whole amount if that amount doesn't cover it. That is something to ask the guy about.

Thats my advice for you. And what in my postcard made your parents think I was strange...not that I wasn't already but still....
