Not quite a match-3 game, but something to spark your interest is Knightfall 2, where you remove colored blocks, tilt the playing field, and try to get your guy to run over monsters.

It's team versus play. You play bejeweled but spend the energy (points) that gives you to summon Starcraft units (you have like 10 to choose from) or cast "Spells" which then go and fight the other guy's units. Units are strong against some units and weak against others. I don't think you can actually control the units once they're summoned - they just move up and fight - if they get to the other end of the long skinny board they attack the other guy/team's base and if you beat the base you win the game.
The second time I played it I got accused of cheating. ^_^

(And buying decorations also isn't a substantial decision, in game terms. They don't do anything!)
Am I missing something by not downloading the full version?
