So yeah in about 3 weeks my first year at UAB will be over and looking back it's been fucking hard but fun. Little tip for people who think they may want to go into computer science.. Yeah, I remember at University of Iowa I switched from Pre-med to computer science for a semester. I love code, and know about every coding language known to man, but all that C++ and java code kicked my ass... I would write at least 27 (but more like 100) lines of code for a program that would do blackjack and then it wouldn't work and I'd be soo pissed and I would run checks and eveything would be solid, and I would get soooooo frustrated. So yeah. I feel your pain on the computer science front. It is hard as hell, and more power to you if you can stick it out. I much preferred switching to graphic design and webdesign and animation and learning lingo, flash, and php and asp, and a bit more html and javascript than even I knew previously. They just make sense to me.. hooray for carrots rather than if/thens! C++ and Java are complicated and only funny when you set hilariously named parameters and such. I suppose whatever you find rewarding is best. Wait till you have to take Engineering and Computer Circuit analysis...
