I did everything right, I stayed in school, I went to college, got good grades and followed my heart to the best of my ability. So why am I single, miserable, jobless, alone and in more debt than I can handle without...I don't even know what.

I know I haven't commented on any of your journals in a while, but I second what the spazzymewmew said. No matter how bad and hopeless things seem, things will always turn for the better in due time. It's not something you can really plan ahead for or forsee. Circumstances change easily, and just give it time, and keep an eye peeled for opportunities. :3
